Mr.Nahil Wijesuriya is a Professional Engineer Specializing in
Mechanical and Production Engineering. He gained his professional
qualifications from the Leicester College of Technology (UK).
Following his graduation he began working with P&O Shipping Lines
(UK), eventually moving on to become the Chief Engineer at Ceylon
Shipping Corporation. In 1975 he became the Deputy Chief Engineer
of the Colombo Dock Yard. In 1977 he founded East West Group of
Companies. Through this Parent Company, he founded much successful
business in Sri Lanka including TV broadcasting channels, ETV1 and
ETV2, now known as Swarnavahini; East West Information Systems now
known as EWIS. He has also completed several substantial property
developments having successfully speculated the London and
Singapore property markets.
He pioneered in the setting up the First Off Shore Bunkering
facility of Colombo Port by using a 37,000 Ton Storage Vessel
anchored off the Colombo harbor limits. He also spearheaded the
setting up and operations of Offshore Marine Services (Pvt) Ltd
doing Salvage and Towage of ships in distress, using the companies
own Tugs. In property development, he single handedly project
manage the construction of the IBM Building in 1985 the first
building to be built in the Nawam Mawatha Buisness Centre through
East West Properties Ltd for Land and Building (Pvt) Ltd.
Anika Wijesuriya holds a BA Honors Degree in Finance and Economics from the University of Durham (UK), where she continues to be an Associate of the Durham Business School. She was a Director
at Hotel Services Plc where she gained substantial experience in hotel administration, finance, sales and operations. She is also a Director of East West Properties Plc.
Mr.Vajira Wijesuriya has a Bachelors degree in Computer Science
from the University of Warwick (UK) and also holding British
Private Pilot License. He has worked at Amba Research as an
Associate Vice President specializing in Financial Research. He
has gained a vast experience in the field of Real Estate,
Aviation, Finance and Travel.
Mr.Diyanath Rohan Jayasinghe holds a MBBS Degree. He is the former
Chairman of Cey Nor Foundation and Grand Oriental Hotel. He is
currently holding a position as a Director of Sri Lanka Energies
(Pvt) Limited.
Mr.Kanchaka Shanila Ariyawansha has completed Diploma in Computer
Studies Gateway Center and IDM Campus, Certificate course in
Gemmology & Geology University of Moratuwa for Information
Technology Colombo, Certificate course in English GEK Institute.
He worked as a Cargo Assistant at Airlanka International Ltd and
Intercity Airways Ltd (2001- 2003) He has 22 years experience in
East West Group of Companies (2003 - Present). East West

(Pvt) Ltd, Peoples Media Network (Pvt) Ltd, Weligama Hotel
